Deer Park

A 100-year-old Georgian home, an original kitchen space, a six-week timeline and a “set-in-stone” budget were the backdrop for this transformational kitchen design.

Using visual cues from the rest of the house, such as dark floors, wood shelves and specific architectural detailing, the design sought to strike a balance in the context of old and new. Dark and light materials, a marble tile backsplash and white finishes liberated the kitchen (and the homeowners) from its past and created a natural traffic flow into the breakfast room.
