Forest Hill

A studs forward total renovation of this lovely 1930’s, centre hall home created a gracious and stunning living space for four children and their very busy parents. Understanding how the clients wished to use the space, sourcing of furniture to match life choices, an appreciation of the role of natural light and bold choice combined to fashion a memorable, cohesive architectural experience.

The overall effect is one of excitement and energy. The exquisite island kitchen design is punctuated with a broad industrial style window that opens to a landscaped garden and allows natural light to flood into the room. Dark wood floors and cabinetry meet white marble in the most opposite and arresting way. One of the personal stories of this home is reflected in fine detail in a shared bathroom, where the custom marble floor mosaic is inset with the words “boys” and “girls”. This is a wonderful home in which to live.
